Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Judi Chamberlin Joy in Advocacy Award
The National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery (NCMHR) honors one individual a year with the Judi Chamberlin Joy in Advocacy Award. This award recognizes Judi’s lifetime of joyful dedication to bringing hope into the lives of individuals labeled with mental illnesses around the world. The award honors an individual who best reflects Judi’s example in extraordinary achievements in disability rights advocacy. It is presented at the NCMHR’s annual open meeting. This year that will take place on October 1, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. See below for location.
NOMINATION GUIDELINES:
• The nominee must have the lived experience of mental health recovery.
• The nomination shall include no more than 500 words on why the nominee deserves this award.
• The nomination must include the name, phone number, and e-mail address of both the nominee and the nominator.
Only nominations that follow these directions will be reviewed.

Location: The National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery will hold its annual open meeting October 1, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Embassy Suites Anaheim South, 11767 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92840.
Walking Directions: From the Hyatt Hotel where the Alternatives conference is being held, walk out the front door of the Hyatt. Walk to the left of the valet parking and shuttle bus stop. Continue through a driving gate into the Embassy Suites parking lot. Enter the front door of the Embassy Suites hotel and go to Ballroom C.
