From FamiliesUSA (8.6.10):
Money for Your State...
By Jessica Larochelle, Field Director
The Administration continues to roll out grants to aid states in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Please encourage your state to apply for funding to help ensure provisions are enacted in an effective and consumer-friendly way. There are small windows of opportunity in which your state has to apply, so it is necessary to act fast! Below, you will find information on the most recently released grants and links to applications:
Consumer Assistance Program Grants to
States and Territories:
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released $30 million to help
states and territories establish or strengthen consumer assistance offices.
Please note that states are welcome to contract with nonprofit organizations to
provide consumer assistance and ombudsman services. Grant applications are
due by September 10, 2010. (For more information on creating or
strengthening a consumer assistance program, please check out our recently
updated Designing a Consumer Health Assistance
Program.)

Grants to Extend Money Follows the Person Rebalancing Demonstration: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released $2.25 billion in grants to extend the Money Follows the Person Rebalancing (MFP) Demonstration. The program gives states added Medicaid matching money to transition people from institutional to community-based care. The Affordable Care Act extends the MFP program, provides more funds for states already involved, and encourages states not already involved to apply. On August 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm EDT CMS will hold an applicant conference call to answer any questions. The call in number is 800-603-1774 and conference code ID is 88811531. Planning Grant Applications are due by September 7, 2010...

Alas!!! I finally have somebody who has written just the way I think. Though a bad luck that I cannot write equally well like you, but you did it on my behalf and I am thankful of you to have understood the problem and written on as there are as many of people who undergo the torture just like me.
