Very good. These are corporate people who have disabilities. Now how about appointing some grassroots disability activists who are in the trenches with us, who have been stuck or immobilized because of no curb cuts, elevator or ramp, Braille, or ASL interpreter. Who ride paratransit or mainline public transit, who can see things not just through corporate lens or reports filed by their staff, but through the eyes of the people? Who have been there at rallies, Disability Pride Parade, protests, public hearings, court hearings, etc. Let us look forward to their serving the administration without writing sterile or incomplete reports on the plight and needs of PWDs.

Paratransit--it is oppresive and--none of you touch it. Chicago and Detroit paratransit riedsr need your help. We have a lawsuit on Pace, RTA, CTA in Northern Distict court. Thre paratrbnsit riedsr ar beibng sued by Pace in Chicago for contiuing the advisory council whose nam etey filed witht he Secy of State as a nonprofit and is run by the people. You don't submit amicus brefs when we file ADA lawsuits. You don't support issues of PWDs who have low or slow income Why? W are tird of being contrleld. We want to run our own paratransit and make sure it is green and more accomodating, and have our own solar-powered cars. www.groups.yahoo.com/group/IMPRUVE
