Common sense

Public schools dont work for all children, why are children who are unable to thrive in such an environment being placed there in the first place. Further more why does it take a bill to make a school accountable? Fire the people that make poor decisions.

There are many small attrocities committed every day in the name of maintaining control in some larger institutions. We had a young girl die at the girls school at Yankton a while back and I think a boy at the Reform School a while before that. If these harsh attitudes of control prevail for children who have ADD, what chance does the invalid have.

There should also be a provision to make harmful restraint and seclusion in the schools a Class A felony, with harmful restraint being classified as assault and battery, and seclusion as unlawful imprisonment.
