Frederick L. Bonaparte

The entire 2009 Imhotep Charter High School graduating class of over 220 North Philadelphia inner city students was accepted at various colleges this year. The educational format was based on an innovative study guide based on corrective African history developed by Dr. Edward W. Robinson.
Dr. Robinson, 91, is a former business executive, city manager and member of the Federal Reserve bank Board of Governors.
Dr. Christine Thomas Wiggins, founder of Imhotep, began her educational career as a secretary at Temple University. She was inspired to leave her administrative position with the Philadelphia School System after attending a nine week summer seminar conducted by Dr. Robinson.
During the seminar, which included school administrators and 300 under achieving children under court supervision, Dr. Robinson demonstrated that children can be taught to master such difficult subjects as word problems, geometry and algebra if their self esteem level is raised by a knowledge of corrective African history.
If you are interested, I will send you a package which includes photos, bios, interview info, an Imhotep yearbook, etc.
This is an untold story of two fabulous educators who teach that heightened self esteem, not massive infusions of money, will unlock the genius in untold numbers of children.
