The approximate 47 million members of the Disability Community remains virtually invisible, even in the 21st century, no matter the number of marches, protests, Doubt much will change in my lifetime.

Working in the mental health field as a peer specialist, I realize people want to get off disability. I find talking to a great majority would love to, but it all comes down to benefits. I admit that was true...I was in recovery and looking for a job bad, but I had to have an in-depth benefits analysis before I ever started. Social Security makes it sound like you are in no danger of anything by trying to go back to work, but there is just tons that they don't tell you.
