The ADAPT Community wants you to Kick-Off the Introduction of the Community Choice Act on on March 24th! We want YOU to celebrate the introduction of the most important health care reform for people with disabilities in this country -- Community Choice Act!
Tuesday, March 24 is just about three weeks away. We intend to give all of you the opportunity to be connected directly to the chamber where this historic introduction will occur while exciting folks in your local group!
If you are interested in hosting a local event, email LTaylor@cdrnys.org and Linda will make sure you get information about how to sign up to host a local event. We will send out the details very soon. Just be sure to SAVE THE DATE: TUESDAY, MARCH 24!
As you know, advocates, like you, from across the country have been contacting their Senators and Representatives in the House. Ask your congressional representatives to sign on as initial cosponsors of the Community Choice Act. With the introduction date set, they must contact the lead sponsors (Senator Harkin and Representative Davis) as soon as possible if they want to be initial cosponsors. Many Representative and Senators have been waiting until we had a firmer introduction date. If your Representative and Senators haven't committed to being initial cosponsors of the Community Choice Act, contact them now! You can send them a fax or email from the following links.
